The EVO family of descenders was developed for use in vertical activities, including: rope access, rope rescue systems, work at height, and adventure activities, including: rappelling, waterfall and ravine descent. The EVO has been tested in accordance with the EN 12841 2006 Type C standard for use with semi-static, low-stretch ropes with diameters between 10.5 and 11.5 millimeters. The EVO is a self-locking descender with an anti-panic device. This anti-panic feature provides additional protection should the user accidentally activate the control lever. The Evo D01 descender comes equipped with: an anti-panic system and a wire clip tongue that facilitates rope placement and removal. This model is the most complete model in the EVO family.
